The Recover Tampa Bay Initiative grew from the collaborative efforts of 3 Tampa Bay Counties working together in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Working with HELP Inc. in Hillsborough County, Recover Pinellas and Pasco Rebuilds Together, RTBI coordinates needs-based recovery initiatives for citizens in all three counties. HELP, Recover Pinellas and Pasco Rebuilds Together are written into their respective County’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan as the entity responsible for restoring impacted lives primarily, but not exclusively, by rebuilding and fortifying their homes. RTBI works to identify all interested organizations whose participation will enhance the long-term recovery of our community. With this initial funding from Volunteer Florida and the American Red Cross RTBI will implement a new collaborative long-term recovery plan to maximize resources and expedite the delivery of assistance to the community as optimally as possible.
